Shigang He

Dr. Shigang He is a Distinguished Professor of Biomedical Engineering at SJTU. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Neuroscience from Australian National University in 1995. He was a Research Fellow at Mass. General Hospital, Harvard Medical School/HHMI from 1994 to 1997, an NHMRC Senior Research Officer at University of Queensland from 1997 to 1999, a PI in the Institute of Neuroscience, Chinese Academy of Sciences from 1999 to 2004, a PI at Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences from 2005 to 2011. He started his current position as a Distinguished Professor in the School of BME from 2012. His main research interests include form, function, development and diseases of mammalian retinal neurons.
