Guofeng Shen

Dr. Guofeng Shen is an Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering. After he received his Ph.D. degree in Instrumentation Science and Technology from Harbin Institute Technology in 2004, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow studying High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) in SJTU, under the guidance of Academician Yazhu Chen. Since 2006, he has been an Associate Professor of SJTU. From 2011 to 2012, he worked as a Visiting Associate Professor in the Focused Ultrasound Laboratory of the Department of Radiology, Harvard Medical School. His research interests include development of a new generation of MRI-guided phased high-intensity focused ultrasound (P-HIFU); ultrasound for local thermo-chemotherapy; and perfusion thermo-chemotherapy etc.
