Su Zhang

Dr. Su Zhang is an Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering. She received her Ph.D. degree in Automatic Control from Northwestern Polytechnical University in 2000, and subsequently worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow of SJTU Institute of Image Processing & Pattern Recognition from 2000-2002. Since 2002, she has worked at SJTU Institute of Biomedical Instrumentation led by Academician Yazhu Chen. She has been the PI of a regular grant from NSFC, and a grant for developing Key Laboratory from Chinese Ministry of Education. She has also been a key member in multiple major program grants. Dr. Zhang has cooperated with the investigators from Hong Kong Polytechnic University, City University of Hong Kong, Virginia Tech (USA), and Creatis-LRMN (France). Her main research interests include: Biomedical image processing and pattern recognition; image-guided therapy; and computer-aided diagnosis and analysis.
