Wanlu LI

Dr. Wanlu Li is a tenured-track Assistant Professor at the School of Biomedical Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. She received her B.S. degree from Jilin University in 2015 and her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. From 2018 to 2022, she conducted research at Harvard Medical School as a visiting student and postdoctoral researcher. Since August 2022, she has been a tenure-track Assistant Professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Her research focuses on developing human-relevant bioengineered platforms for studying brain diseases and neural tissue regeneration. She has published as first or corresponding author in leading journals, including Cell, Nature Communications, Science Advances, and Advanced Materials. Her work has been recognized by several international awards, including the International Stroke Conference Young Investigator Award (2019) and the International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) Outstanding Research Award (2020). She currently serves on the young editorial boards of Aging and Disease, International Journal of Bioprinting, and Brain-X.
