Theme with “freeze moments, campus life”, the "Study Tour Landscape" mobile phone photography competition was launched by the School of Biomedical Engineering, from Oct. 26 to Nov. 5. A total of 40 photographs got the final qualifications, these works are diverse in style, including not only the lovely cat, but the newborn experimental mice and the distinctive architecture as well. Each piece of those works display the landscape in their unique way, which had drawn lots of appreciations from teachers and students.

In order to improve students' photography skills, they also invited two professional photographers ,“Black” and “Walker”, to share their photography skills in Room 108, Med-X Research Institute, Xuhui Campus at 6:30 PM on November 12. Many students were benefited from this training. The two photographers not only shared their skills and experience about portrait photography and street shooting, but also made brief comments on the photos in this competition, the photography, lighting and other aspects of photography skills of which were thought remarkable. Ultimately, Fangyu Qin’s  "crying with hunger", Lei Huang's "green" and Yuqian Zhang's "Silly X" were awarded for the third-prize, Wenrui Wang 's "color" and Liyun Liang's "Ahead the Road" won the second prize, and the best award was obtained by Leying Chen's "Autumn kill".

People's memory will fade, but those colorful photos will not. We had a deeper understanding of photography and learned a lot of photography skills through this activity. It provided a platform for photographers to share their experiences and to show a rich and colorful campus life for us. People's sense of identity of campus culture and their sense of belonging to schools and colleges were also cultivated.
