Dr. Liming Li is an Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering. She received her Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences & Peking Union Medical College in 1998. Since 1998, Dr. Li had been a Postdoctoral Fellow of Japan Society for the Promotion of Sciences at Kyushu Institute of Technology, and a Foreign Scientist at University of Tokyo. She joined the faculty of SJTU as an Associate Professor since 2007. Her research has been supported by Shanghai 'Pujiang Scholar Award', NSFC and Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology. She has published about 60 peer-reviewed journal papers and conference proceedings, as well as two international book chapters. Her main research interests include: Neural engineering; neural prostheses and rehabilitation of neural functions; brain mechanisms and medical applications of electrical stimulation to neural systems; and computational modeling of electrical stimulation to neural systems.
