Prof. Tian-ge Zhuang is a veteran of BME in China. His research interest is medical imaging including X-CT and medical imaginginformatics. He has been the director of the Institute of Biomedical Engineering of Shanghai Jiao-tong University and the vice dean of the School of Life sciences and Biotechnology, SJTU. He is the author of4 books including “CT Principle and Algorithms” and “Application of Computer in Biomedicine”. He has won several awards, includingone Second prize and two Third prize of Shanghai Municipal Science &Technological Advancement Award. He also won a first prize of Excellent Text book Award from the Ministry of Electronics and a second prize from the Ministry of Education of China. In 2004, His team won a National Outstanding Course Award of China.He was theConference Co-chair of  27^th International Annual Conference of IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biological Society. Sept.1-4 2005,Shanghai,China
