Dr. Jin-Ye Wang is a Professor of Biomedical Engineering. She received her Ph.D. degree from Tohoku University, Japan in 1992. She worked in RIKEN (Japan) until 1996, and in National Institute of Health and Nutrition (Japan) from 1997-2000. Then she became a Professor of Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The main research interests in her group include: (1) Regeneration of 3D functional tissues; development and structure-property relationship studies of polymer systems of biomedical importance. 2) Controlled release and fluorescent probes; controlled release of biological molecules in scaffolds; nano fluorescent probes for tracing drug target, stem cell proliferation, differentiation and tissue regeneration. 3) Biomimetic materials and biointerfaces ; understanding material - cell interactions , physicochemical mechanisms and biomedical applications of two or three-dimensional ordered structure formation, especially at the nanometer scale; biomembrane mimic by phase-separation and selfassembly.
